A new storyboard

January 12, 2010

Sometimes stuff just comes to me and I have to write it all out. Usually a song sets it off. After hearing a song a few times, I do what any normal person does, and create an animated music video that would go well to that song. Somewhere in this insane storyboard is that story, which is the tale of two satellites in the Cold War Era.

I think my walk to school is different from most people’s.

OHS Big Game storyboards

January 6, 2010

Here’s a first go at some storyboards for the Big Game. Back to slow pitch softball. I think it works much better with slow pitch. For this one, I think I’ll have one song playing the entire time, Who’s Won’t be Fooled Again.

There are going to be a lot of dynamic shots in this one, so it might be hard to animate. Swinging bats, running players, high fiving, etc. I’d like it to look decent, although some of the charm I guess is from it looking ridiculous.

Another problem is that unedited, Won’t get Fooled Again is 7 minutes long. If I can keep it interesting for that long, it should be fine. But I think a better option would be to edit out about 3-4 minutes. It is pretty repetitive in the middle, so I think it could be removed without much problem.

Anywise, this is the stuff I usually do for myself to help plan out the movie, but I thought I’d publish these ones so you could see what goes on from idea to final product. Enjoy

das Shirts?

January 5, 2010

I think I’ll start making shirts out of some of my random scribblings. This has always been something I’ve been interested in, and since drawing is much easier now, and Zazzle makes it easy to upload and create shirts, away I go. This came to me while I was trying to scribble something for Lynne’s new tattoo (which didn’t really work out).

Rhythm is the bass, etc.

And here’s a link to the store where you can buy such fine merchandise:

I strongly recommend the AmericanApparel shirts, but that’s probably because I’m a t-shirt snob. I’m sure others would be fine too.

More fun with tablet

December 29, 2009

While waiting for chimney repairs today, I just scribbled some stuff. The best part of the tablet is being able to do this. Again, not masterpieces, but this is how the movies start in my notebooks.

Somebody got a tablet

December 26, 2009

I drew this in about 15 minutes. Not like it’s a masterpiece, but it’s so much easier to draw with the tablet. It’s exactly like when I mess around and draw stuff in my notebooks. I haven’t tried it in Flash yet, but Illustrator works incredibly well with it.
